install os on a brand new easier said than done drive?

"NTLDR is Missing" for window xp pro sp2

disk isnt scratched-drive has be reformatted and has no notes on it- cords are in correctly- i cant integer out whats wrong and why it wont work-- help?

thats exactly what its suposed to utter, you have your spanking new drive in correctly, horay!!!!

very soon its time to put the windows xp cd into the cd rom and boot up, consequently when you see the message to boot from cd hit any key, hit any switch.



you may need to stir to the bios and set up the first boot device to be the cd rom in lay down to boot the windows xp cd.



thats smooth im sure you can figure it out.

When you get that message it manner that there's a problem with your MBR (Master Boot Record). The MBR tell the computer where the operating system on the harddrive is. Reformatting the drive won't fix this problem because it won't write another one.



To fix the problem, you'll stipulation to:



1) Erase the partition where on earth you loaded XP,



2) Create a new divider to load XP, and set that wall to ACTIVE,



3) Format that partition and re-install XP.
