Installing a heatsink to amd athlon 64 x2 3800?

I am ordered an OEM amd athlon 64 x2 3800 and i am slightly latest to installing processors. so i bought a heatsink and fan but i would similar to to know the proper way to install it adjectives so i dont make any mistakes.



i really want to know roughly how to apply the thermal paste... resembling where exactly on the cpu and do i apply it to the heatsink?

When you use thermal soft mass only use an amount alike size as a grain of rice. Put it on the CPU and put the heatsink on.

Make sure Both sides are verbs and dry. No Oil or dust. If you feel insecure around doing the job after I recommend taking it to your local Pc Shop they should give you some warning in performing the project. Good Luck.
