Internal SATA drives can power down to hide away power...what more or less eSATA (external) drives?

Is in that a way to own external SATA drives power down automatically after being rust for a given time, to save power?

I'm running a WinXP Pro system, if that make any difference...

Thanks,

Mark

No Because external Hard drives have their own seperate powers.
Doesn't the power settings contained by the control panel do anything? If not, then you could try going into the device checker and click on the external drive and see if it has any second properties.
