Hey everyone, I enjoy an Intel D915GAG motherboard and im thinking about installing some more RAM. Currently it have two 256MB, DDR PC 3200 sticks. I was wondering if I could give a single additional 512 MB stick or if I still obligation to install another two 256 Mb sticks of ram unless i simply replace them all. Thnx contained by advance.
Installing RAM ---?
yes you can include 512mb stick if u like{as long as the ram type is the same}....but verbs out yur two 256 sticks and place the 512 in first slot after refit your 256 sticks in the other slots.
This motherboard have 4 slots of dual-channel memory. It accepts DDR 400/333 SDRAM.
Because it's dual furrow, you need to append ram surrounded by pairs of sticks.
This MB will go upto 4 GB using 4 1-GB sticks.
It would be best if you added two 512 or two 1 gigs...but if you want to only just add two 256 thats ok but I deem they both have to be like...I don't think it would be obedient to add a 256 beside a 512..
If you have available RAM slots, you can put any size memory stick contained by the available slot(s).
sounds like you own to have 2 of duplicate kind of memory to take the numbers you want if you added 2 512MB sticks that's what you would get 512MB of memory if you used merely one stick your computer wouldn't probably boot up due to memory problem.
Turn off your workstation and install them in the abandoned slots provided for you, then boot it.
