Is a 2.5" Hard drive as reliable as a 3.5" complex drive?

Is a 2.5" Hard drive as reliable as a 3.5" complex drive?

They are as reliable, a bit more expensive to trademark and generate more heat than larger ones. They should primarily be used where on earth space and weight is a concern, ie notebook.
Yep, the only difference I'm sure is the size (in inches). But the space it holds may alter, but these days that doesn't even business. They say by subsequent year we will hold 8 GB in a one inch memory stick. The current max is 4 GB.
Yes.

As long as it fits your application it is fine.
Yes. The differences are that a 2.5" drive is for notebook and typically have speeds of 4200, 5600, but you can find 7200 which give off more warmth.

A 3.5" drive is for big box computers typical of home pc's. Typical speeds are 7200. You can find a SCSI drive that has smaller amount hdd space but can run up to 10,000.

Research and get consumer feelings on the BRAND of drives you are interested in. Some brands are seedy for not holding up for long, whereas some are more dependable.
