is AVG protect notebook?
it's a markedly good program, i've have it on my computer for about 4 years very soon. it's definitely one of the best AV programs available.
In my opion the best free anti virus software available. Get it from www.grisoft.com
I devise Avast is better, I've used it for 3 yrs. and it's caught everything the internet and email has thrown at it. Home Edition is free:

It's crappy (worse rating) than any antivirus program. It is individual designed to catch 90% of virus. Avast (another free one) catches 91%. Just look up the reviews for yourself. Typical obedient antivirus program catches 98-99% of virus. Basically the ones you pay for work far better.
