Yes, the less it's used to better it is. No have need of to wear it out if you are not using it.
Is it better to leave my sports car on 24/7 or turn it off when not contained by use?

Is it better to leave my stove running 24/7 or turn it rotten when not in use?

Is it better to disappear my television running 24/7 or turn it sour when not in use?

Answer is one and the same for a computer....
It will take a awfully long time to wear out a hard drive, If you want set the power option in the control panel to own the computer shut down or go into sleep mode while you shift to bed...
Somebody told me that its da booting up and the shuttin down that causes wear and slash on ur machine.... But i dont kno how credible he is... he never turns his piece of equipment off... never.. he does lone if he wont be using it for a couple of days at a stretch...
I believe that the advice have changed over the years.

A while back it be considered much better to leave a computer on adjectives the time because turning a computer on created a huge amount of stress on the hardware that was much more wounding than just going away it on all the time.

But hardware have improved seriously since then and can slickly handle a sudden renovation caused by a startup - so in a minute it's often opinion is to turn it off

And turning it past its sell-by date is good for the environment!

But there's still abundantly of debate.

Whatever you do - always switch stale your monitor, which can be a fire risk!
