What's the difference between taking my files (like my mp3's, pictures, word documents, etc) and putting them on disk for safekeeping and using backup software to create a backup of the tough drive..All I really want to save are my high-status files, but why do I need to stern up my entire hard drive? Thanks for your expertise.
I'm not good judgment backup for my not easy drives.someone please explain?
Backup is past the worst keeping, it means that u hold on to ur important files contained by a media (harddisk, cd-rom, etc) surrounded by a sfe place, so that if any disaester occurs , you can re-copy them.
In commercial usage the facts is huge and usually encrypted, i.e. if a company is using oracle, it will only requires to backup (safe-keeping) of its information not the whole oracle software, so it will use the backup utility to store the notes in a medium.
It is ur choice to just copy the files to a cd or backup these files , by using a backup software u purely compress them, and decompress them.
the benifit of backing up ur entire harddisk is that , if somthimng unpromising happend to ur windows, resembling virus, corruption, u just restore it from backup and u donot enjoy to reinstall all the software and reconfiqure adjectives the programs according to ur will.
i prefer u just copy ur background to a cd, backup utilities r many for commercial usage.
