compare to a 'new' AMD Athlon 3000+ @ 64 bit to 'old' Intel Pentium 4 @ 2.5.8 ghz that have no 64 bit. and both of them are single core. but i heard lone intel has "FSB" (how does it work?)
Who perform excellent?
within what instance does 64 bit processor work? surrounded by what program they are excellent?
all motherboards hold an FSB, (front side bus) it is the speed that controls the cpu to the ram and the PCI slots or (The nouns of a microprocessor to the memory subsystem.), in regard to amd not having fsb yes they do. 64bit is purely a faster rate of speed and memory transfer rates. although the amd will outperform the pentium as it is 64bit though will be more unashamed in vista as vista supports 64bit processing as xp is merely 32bit.
A 64 bit processor is more or less useless unless you run a 64 bit operating system.
There is supposed to be a 64 bit variation of Windows Vista coming out--there might already be a beta.
64 bit has to be on a 64 bit system to do anything, at hand is a windows xp 64bit system and several linux version, but most software written in 64bit be designed for servers and 32 bit apps are not compatable, untill software catches up, it can be run on 32 bit os, basicly the difference is how big of a chunk a processor can take per cycle
