how to remove auto play

surrounded by my notebook E drive shows auto play?

You can't remove it. It is set here because some CD's have a secure "wizard" the helps you install the specific program. When you insert the compact disc, a mesage may pop up starting to guide you through the installation process.
There may be a file name "autorun.inf" in the root of drive E:.

Please delete it or move to a different location to solve the problem.

If the directory is hidden you may not be capable of see it, unless you enable the "Show out of sight files and folders" option from the "View" tab of the "Folder Options" dialog box which can be found within the Windows "Control Panel".
Go into the device manager, expand the "CD-ROM" menu, and clickon the settings tab, later uncheck the "Autoplay" setting. You will no longer get autoplay, another course is to hold down the shift key, when you put a disc in the drive, that will skip the "Autoplay" function temporally.
You may try it by going into the device overseer, select Drive(CD-ROM menu) and click on the settings tab, then uncheck the Autoplay setting. You will no longer catch autoplay. To termporarilly skip Atoplay hold down the shift key, when you put a disc in the drive.
this is one type of boot record & may it virus also. you have to forrmate that drive.
