no you can't use two graphics cards at indistinguishable time...use the best one !
yes mate, if you have a card beside 128mb vram and you can addup another graphics card, lets say aloud 128mb making total of 256mb video ram (provided your mother board also supports it!!!)
SLI is a method developed by NVIDIA, and I feel the term "SLI compatible" is used to describe a specific motherboard or display card that can use the SLI function. Take motherboard as an example, not adjectives kind of motherboard can support SLI, lone those that mention SLI-Ready in their specification can support SLI, same point with the video card, not adjectives the NVIDIA video card support SLI. You can check it on their websire and find it out.
And, yes, you can use 2 graphic cards at like time. But in decree to do this, you better make sure both video cards can support SLI. Just some more information for you, ATI also have the similar technology, called the crossfire.
